O: Took follow up rads of shoulders and palpated. Found old, healed fx to R clavicle and newer fx to R coracoid near keel. Soft callous present at R coracoid fx but fx still noticeably shifting when rotated. Placed figure-8 and body band over R wing to stabilize fx. Bruising to R ventral R/U mostly resolved. Bird had removed dressing over R TBT and wound was matted with feathers. Wound slightly green tinged. Cleaned area with chlorahex, applied manuka, and recovered with telfa/tega. Gave fluids and meds PO including starting on meloxicam (0.36cc). HF 61g rab, took eagerly.

P: Switch to 1/2 clean, 1/2 rodent diet and increase food by 10g/meal. HF in AM, HF 1/2 & SF 1/2 in PM. Push vet check to 4/28 and change R wing wrap at that time. Change R wing wrap E3D after that point. Change dressing over R TBT wound in 2d. Rx meloxicam, consider D/C after 5/1

Noted puncture wound to R lateral TBT is very deep, extending down to muscle. Skin is mobile over wound with no adherence and tissue looks healthy. Applied TAO and recovered with telfa and tegaderm. No unabsorbed fluids palpated. Gave fluids and oral meds. HF 63g clean rabbit. Placed perch in cage. Dropped 5g clean rabbit organ to see if bird might eat on own.

S: Brought to hospital wrapped in a blanket. Stood when placed into cage.

O: Performed physical exam and took radiographs. Stained eyes. Cleaned wounds with dilute chlorhex. Applied thin layer of dermagel to smaller wounds and placed a duoderm patch over wound on R TBT. Gave 50 cc LRS SQ in R leg inguinal area. Gave 0.1 cc gaba PO and 0.97 cc TMS PO. Tubed 30 cc LRS PO. Placed in cage in ICU

Neurologic: A bit quiet but alert and aware
Head/mouth/beak: Small amount of blood coming from choanal slit. Saliva stringy.
Dried blood around R nare.
Ears: NSF AU
Eyes: NSF OU. No dye uptake OU
Wings: Small skin tear and bruising over mid ventral R r/u. L shoulder popped a lot during rotation. After rads, popping could not be felt again.
Legs: Matted feathers and blood on R lateral TBT- removed. Nickel sized skin tear underneath and bruising in area.
Feet: NSF
Body: Very small scab and minor bruising over L dorsal shoulder.
Feather condition: WNL
Ectoparasites: None
Radiographic findings: Possible fx in R coracoid

A: Pt presented with multiple soft tissue wounds as well as evidence of blunt force trauma to the head and or body. Radiographs show what is potentially a fracture in the R shoulder but it is not entirely clear (pt was uncooperative for rads). Pt also presented with borderline emaciation, likely secondary to the injuries they sustained by an unknown cause. There is no major wing droop so the bird is likely to heal with cage rest. However, prognosis is guarded until we're able to determine the extent of the bird's emaciation

Rx- gaba, TMS
Tx- Place catheter if SQ fluids not absorbed. Try on clean meat. Monitor wounds and bandage
